Teaching Paper Series

The VIADUCT Teaching papers target junior and senior researchers with expertise in how to teach EU-Turkey relations. 

The objective of the Teaching Paper Series is to enhance the exchange between teachers and lecturers who work on EU-Turkey relations and contribute to the development of teaching curricula.

The three teaching papers have been presented at the VIADUCT annual conferences.

The paper is titled "EU Good Governance Promotion in Turkey".  It introduces the curriculum, methods and workplan of a graduate course titled “EU Good Governance Promotion in Turkey”, taught by the author during the Spring semester of 2019-2020 at Altınbaş University in Istanbul, Turkey.

The paper is titled "Teaching Turkey-European Union Relations within the Framework of a Research Methods Class". It introduces a unique model of teaching Turkey-EU relations within the framework of a learner-centered research methods class by drawing on the example of “SIB 2005 Research Methods class” that is currently taught as a required course to first-year students at the newly established Istanbul Ayvansaray University, Political Science and International Relations Department.

The paper is titled "Applying Learner-Centered Approach to Teaching Turkey – European Union Relations". It introduces a model of learner-centered approach to teaching Turkey EU relations by drawing on the example of PSIR 433 Turkey-EU relations class that is taught to fourth-year students at Yeditepe University, Political Science and International Relations Department.
